National Unity and Armed Forces Day

On November 4th, we joined Adelaide’s Italian Armed Forces, chaired by Roxanna Bianco, to honour National Unity and Armed Forces Day—a tribute to Italy’s commitment to peace and the sacrifices of those in uniform.
This day marks Italy’s victory in the First World War and the completion of its national unification. However, it is also a solemn reminder of the more than one hundred thousand Italian soldiers who lost their lives in the WW1 conflict, and all the other soldiers who died in many other conflicts all over the world.
Alongside Italian and Australian dignitaries, Com.It.Es SA gathered with community members to reflect on both past and present conflicts, acknowledging the lasting impact of war and the importance of unity.
