Week of the Italian Language in the World

20 February 2025

In October 2024, Com.It.Es SA launched the Week of the Italian Language in the World program at Mary MacKillop College, with students from Rostrevor College also in attendance. The Settimana della Lingua Italiana nel Mondo is an annual celebration held in October to promote and celebrate Italian language and culture globally, under the High Patronage of the Presidency of the Italian Republic.

Since 2022, Com.It.Es SA has led and collaborated with various Italian associations to promote the Italian language during this Week—and beyond. The theme of the 2024 edition, “Italian and the Book: The World Between the Lines,” explored the connection between language and literature in the contemporary world.

This year’s program in Adelaide was more vibrant than ever, with multiple events held across different locations. The launch event, hosted by Com.It.Es SA, brought together two secondary schools and was broadcast live by both Radio Italiana 531 and Radio Italia Uno.
